Thomas E. Scifres

Tom was born and raised in Salem, where he graduated from Salem High School. He and his new wife, Kim, moved to Indianapolis, where he attended Indiana University – McKinney School of Law. Tom graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Business/Finance. He worked in the Indianapolis area doing litigation work in the personal injury and insurance defense field until moving with his family to Salem in 2001. Here, Tom began his general practice with the firm formerly known as Mead, Mead, Clark & Scifres. He expanded his litigation practice to assist families with estate, probate, real estate, and business matters. Through that practice, he developed an interest in assisting families and businesses with transfers and the importance of insuring title to real estate. 

 

In 2022, Tom and his partner, Dustin Howard, purchased Salem Title Corporation from Lewis Maudlin. The two look to continue Salem Title’s decades-long tradition of providing excellent real estate and title services in Southern Indiana.
